I ran across a neat website that I wanted to share that is called Colors On The Web.
Colors on the web was developed by Web Whirlers. It gives a nice overview of color theory and color combinations and moves on to color physics and color psychology if you want to take it that far.
The thing that I found most useful about Colors on the Web was The Color Wheel.
The Color wheel is a pop-up that you can be used to determine the colors for the background, secondary (or sidebar) and text areas on your site. By simply clicking the “Spin” button the color wheel displays three colors that, get this, look good together !!
As you are spinning along, if you see a color that you like, let’s say for the background, you can specify to hold that color, and start spinning again to get the two remaining colors.
The nice thing about the color wheel is not only does it help you see what colors work well together, but it also displays each color’s impossible to remember RBG or Hex value as well.
What I nice tool to have !!
